FNZC Bond Fund adds experienced resource

First NZ Capital (FNZC) Investment Management has appointed Mark Brown as its head of fixed income.

First NZ Capital (FNZC) Investment Management has appointed Mark Brown as its head of fixed income.

Brown will join the existing portfolio manager Malcolm Davie and the First NZ Capital Bond Fund Investment Committee in managing the FNZC New Zealand Bond Fund.

Brown will have overall responsibility for the fixed income investment process, incorporating credit research, portfolio construction and risk management.

FNZC says Brown is an experienced fixed interest portfolio manager having first entered the financial markets in 1984.

Most recently, from 1994 until 2010 he was portfolio manager fixed interest in a continuous capacity in the investment management team that evolved as National Mutual Funds Management, AXA and then AllianceBernstein.
