Baillie Gifford US Growth Trust (USA) is a London-listed investment trust which aims to produce long-term capital growth by investing predominantly in US companies. The trust invests in both publicly listed and privately owned companies. Its benchmark is the S&P 500 TR Index (in sterling).
In this video, we talk to Kirsty Gibson, who co-manages the trust with Gary Robinson. Kirsty provides an overview of the trust and explains why the US is a good place to find the dynamic, fast-growing businesses the trust targets. We also discuss how USA's high-growth companies have responded to higher interest rates, the positive impact this has had on performance and the outlook as we move into 2025.
