ING Life offers support people who lose jobs

ING Life to support clients who lose their jobs during the current economic downturn.

Thursday, May 28th 2009, 8:49AM

ING Life has launched a financial relief package to support clients who have lost their jobs and for businesses who have gone bankrupt due to the difficult economic climate.

Clients will be able to suspend premium payments until they return to work, up to a maximum period of six months, while still retaining full insurance coverage throughout the period.

ING Life managing director Naomi Ballantyne says "We recognise that the need for our products does not reduce simply because a client is facing financial uncertainty and, in fact, it's at times like these that our products are needed more than ever.

"By offering clients valuable time to reorganise their employment circumstances without the risk of losing their valuable protection benefits in the meantime, ING Life is providing unique support. We feel it is really important to walk alongside our clients during these difficult times."

Ballantyne continues, "We see our relationship with our clients as being for the long-term and we hope by demonstrating this support to our clients now when they really need it, we will cement that relationship for many years to come".
