AIA congratulates Gattung

Tuesday, September 25th 2018, 6:00AM

AIA New Zealand and Sovereign are congratulating Theresa Gattung on the Lifetime Achievement award she received at the Women of Influence Awards.

Gattung is the chair of the board of Sovereign Assurance Company Limited as well as the Chair of the AIA Australia Limited Board.

Sovereign became part of the AIA Group in July this year when AIA successfully completed its acquisition of Sovereign.

“Theresa’s award is richly-deserved. Having her governance skills is both an honour for us, and an enormous benefit, given how important it is that AIA New Zealand and Sovereign reflect the community we serve, as we strive to help New Zealanders live healthier, longer, better lives,” said Nick Stanhope, chief executive New Zealand, AIA and Sovereign.

“I think it’s telling that it was only earlier this month that Sovereign won two White Camellia category awards for the way in which Sovereign’s leadership promotes gender equality, and also for Sovereign’s transparency around, and the measuring and reporting of, gender equality."
