nib ceo steps down

Rob Hennin has decided to step down as chief executive of nib New Zealand and nib Travel.

Friday, April 11th 2025, 11:48AM

Hennin joined nib in 2013 and 10 years later he was appointed CEO of nib’s international travel insurance division.

A recruitment process is underway and Hennin will remain CEO, nib NZ, while that process is ongoing, and to ensure a smooth transition.

“We thank Rob for his contribution to nib’s business, and its many successes, over 12 years,” nib Group managing director and chief executive Ed Close said. “Rob has been a strong leader, an innovator in the New Zealand market, and we wish him well in his future endeavours.”

nib Group’s executive of strategy and development, Matt Neat, will assume executive responsibility for nib Travel, from May 1.
